2022 Prospects To Keep An Eye On

Updated: Feb 13

For those of you who follow me on Twitter, you know that I have been tracking every scholarship offer by the new staff.

The following 20 players have been confirmed as major targets by multiple insiders and by being offered (or re-offered) by Coach Harsin and the new staff.

Landing any of these guys would be exceptional for Auburn—and I believe there’s a chance a good bit of them could eventually choose the Tigers.

I‘ll leave the recruiting info to the experts. For now, let’s talk about what kind of players Auburn is heavily pursuing.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 DL | Khurtiss Perry | 6’3 270 | Montgomery, AL - Park Crossing HS

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/7045474

Notable Offers: Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Miami

Analysis: Perry is a highly touted, versatile DE prospect. While thought to be an Alabama lean, Auburn has been in the picture for a long time. He has an excellent get-off, quick strong hands, and can make plays in space. He always plays with a high motor and can disrupt offensive game plans.

🌟🌟🌟 S | Laquan Robinson | 6’2 195 | Greenville, AL - Greenville HS

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/13596530

Notable Offers: Florida State, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, South Carolina

Analysis: An impact play waiting to happen. Robinson has a knack for creating turnovers either by an interception or by stripping the ball. He‘s also one to jar a ball loose with a big hit. He’s already close to 200 pounds and sustains the ability to float around the field with ease. Offers are starting to come in, but an early Auburn offer could play a major role in his recruitment.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 QB | Jacurri Brown | 6’4 205 | Valdosta, GA - Lowndes HS

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/10872854

Notable Offers: Florida, Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, Ohio State

Analysis: A tall, rangy, and athletic build to go along with elite instincts and a strong arm—a can‘t miss prospect IMO. He has a great feel for the pocket and knows when to take off and when to extend the play. Brown is a guy you can’t not take a chance on. I’m impressed by his arm talent—but maybe even more by his demeanor in the pocket: He’s active and elusive. More than likely the most athletic QB in the 2022 class. Auburn wants to take two QB’s and intends to go all out for Brown.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 TE | Holden Staes | 6’4 220 | Atlanta, GA - Westminster School

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/9860580

Notable Offers: Penn State, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Ohio State

Analysis: Staes has future NFL TE written all over him. A major receiving threat with better than average route running ability. He knows how to use his body as if he were blocking out to get a rebound. He needs a lot of work with his hands in blocking but has a physical mentality and attitude. Not used as a TE but more as a true WR. Staes is now a former Penn State Commit and is giving many schools a look—including Auburn.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 QB | Tanner Bailey | 6’1 200 | Gordo, AL - Gordo HS

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/8696911

Notable Offers: Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Florida State

Analysis: Tanner Bailey is another major target to be the second QB in the class. Bailey has the ability to use his legs, but he is going to stand in the pocket first. He often shows pinpoint accuracy but sometimes lacks overall arm strength on the deep ball. He has carried Gordo HS to the playoffs and to the state championship game. Bailey is a well-polished pocket QB with a competitive edge and winning attitude.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 ATH | Shemar James | 6’3 205 | Mobile, AL - Faith Academy

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/13037563

Notable Offers: Florida, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M

Analysis: There are not many positions that Shemar James does not play. He lines up all over the field on defense and plays any skill position on offense—including QB at times. A twitchy athlete in a 6’3 200+ pound frame. If he continues to add weight his skill set may translate best to the OLB/EDGE position on defense. The quickness is nearly unmatched.

🌟🌟🌟 RB | Quinshon Judkins | 6’0 200 | Pike Road, AL - Pike Road HS

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/9946140

Notable Offers: Florida, Florida State, Miami, South Carolina, Ole Miss

Analysis: Judkins is starting to heat up on the trail. Auburn has now officially offered him twice under two new staffs and have made an impression on the nearby Pike Road, AL prospect. QJ holds a bigger frame with room to grow and can accelerate to his top end speed in a hurry. He’s not a track star, but he’s able to out run most everyone on the field. He is able to make subtle cuts and moves to make people miss while always running with a tough and angry demeanor.

🌟🌟🌟 CB | Jarell Stinson | 5’10 165 | Opelika, AL - Opelika HS | AU COMMIT

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/9258559

Notable Offers: Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky

Analysis: Speaking of track stars.. Stinson is a guy who could go to college as a sprinter before anything—but he’s a football player first. Still learning the finer points of man coverage but is able to bail himself out with elite recovery speed. He’s always a threat to take kicks and punts for 6. The offers are starting to pour in for this AU Commit, but Auburn feels good about keeping him, and the new staff is thrilled to have him.

🌟🌟🌟 DB | Andre Stewart | 6’0 175 | Snellville, GA - Brookwood HS

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/14347647

Notable Offers: Florida, LSU, Oregon, Miami, Penn State

Analysis: An extremely physical corner prospect; The former Auburn Commit is hearing from the new staff and reconsidering the Tigers with high regard. Stewart loves contact and speeds up when he meets a ball carrier. Seems to be most effective when in press man coverage as he is usually able to knock the receiver off of their designated route.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 LB | Jaron Willis | 6’2 220 | Leesburg, GA - Lee County HS

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/10906522

Notable Offers: LSU, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Florida, Miami

Analysis: Jaron Willis—a lot like Joko Willis of the 2021 signing class—is a 3 level player on defense; There is no relation as far as I know. A talented, reactive player who can play at the inside linebacker spot or out in man coverage on the slot. He is also able to drop back to the safety spot and play in coverage. Willis has a strong understanding of the defensive side of the ball and shows that in his quick reactions to the ball carrier or to the ball in the air

🌟🌟🌟🌟 DE | Caden Story | 6’4 240 | Lanett, AL - Lanett HS

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/9778570

Notable Offers: Texas A&M, Tennessee, Missouri, Maryland, Indiana

Analysis: Caden Story, the younger brother of Alabama safety Kristian Story, is strongly considering Auburn. He has a strong and lengthy build with good athleticism. The get-off needs to be better right now and has to be more physical at the point of attack, but this is a high-ceiling prospect who has the ability to make a big play at any time.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 TE | Micah Riley-Ducker | 6’5 240 | Bellevue, NE - Bellevue West HS

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/11479445

Notable Offers: Nebraska, Wisconsin, Oregon, Michigan, Iowa

Analysis: Riley is a TE prospect who offers a big receiving target as well as a major blocking presence—especially out in space. He is deceptively fast for being a larger guy. Riley is truly a versatile TE prospect who can line up all over and create a mismatch, or spring a big play by being a lead blocker. Auburn offered very recently and still were able to make the top group for this Nebraska prospect.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 OT | Dayne Shor | 6’6 300 | Bradenton, FL - IMG Academy

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/11677713

Notable Offers: Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Oklahoma

Analysis: Yes, Auburn is after a true OT prospect, and if or when it pushes, will have an excellent shot. Shor is a big-bodied guy who will really excel after some re-shaping in the weight room. For now, he is very quick and is sudden in his steps: I love his urgency. A strong enough athlete to play either tackle spot. He needs to have a punch in pass pro instead of catching the defender but he can hold his own against most anyone.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 DB | JaDarian Rhym | 6’1 170 | Valdosta, GA - Valdosta HS | LSU COMMIT

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/12267610

Notable Offers: LSU, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Arkansas

Analysis: Rhym, currently an LSU Commit, has one of the better corner films I have seen. He’s a physical player despite only weighing around 170 right now. With a 6’1 frame and long arms and legs, he could put on some good weight in college to add to the physicality. He is efficient as a blitzer and relentless in pursuit of the ball carrier. AU should turn up the heat soon and give him something to think about.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 S | Landon Hullaby | 6’0 190 | Mansfield, TX - Mansfield Timberview

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/11274381

Notable Offers: Texas, Oregon, Notre Dame, USC

Analysis: A safety prospect with great size and good recovery speed. He seems to have a high IQ of the position as many Texas High School prospects usually do. He’s a player who could add weight and still retain the speed and athleticism. Probably a guy who could come down in the box and play the run often as well.

🌟🌟🌟 DB | Brylan Green | 5’10 170 | Lafayette, LA - Lafayette Christian Academy

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/11799627

Notable Offers: Mississippi State, Arkansas, Colorado, Memphis, Kansas

Analysis: The quick reaction time and strong understanding of positioning on the back end really stand out. Pretty fast, but quicker more so than anything; He’s quick physically and mentally. Green is a player who can affect a QB’s timing as he can close quickly to a ball in the air and is a threat to create a turnover at any time.

🌟🌟🌟 OT | Eston Harris Jr. | 6’6 280 | Opelika, AL - Beauregard HS

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/11591007

Notable Offers: Georgia, Oregon, Texas A&M, Florida State, Penn State

Analysis: Another true OT prospect with a lot of room left to grow on a lengthy, athletic frame. Harris is one of the more athletic OL prospects I have seen on film for this class. He’s unpolished in some of the smaller things but his pass set is strong as he is able to bend in his hips with ease. I love how he finishes every rep as well. Auburn should be right in the thick of this recruitment.

🌟🌟🌟 OL | Drew Bobo | 6’5 285 | Auburn, AL - Auburn HS

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/14909909

Notable Offers: South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Maryland

Analysis: Drew Bobo is the son of Auburn Offensive Coordinator Mike Bobo, but he was on Auburn’s radar before that hire was made. Bobo is a stand out in both football and basketball. An athletic big guy who has a high IQ of the game (not a surprise being a coach’s son). The college weight program should be a game changer for Bobo who needs better conditioning to go along with his strong technique.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 OT | Riley Quick | 6’5 265 | Trussville, AL - Hewitt-Trussville HS

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/7449940

Notable Offers: LSU, Penn State, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Ole Miss

Analysis: Riley Quick is the younger brother of Alabama OL Pierce Quick. Riley is said to be intrigued by the OL situation at Auburn and by the school itself. He was quickly re-offered by Harsin and staff. The appeal to Quick is his major athleticism at the tackle position. He’s a guy who plays on both the offensive and defensive lines for one of the better high schools in the state of Alabama. He will have to add 20-30 pounds before he’s able to play, but he’s the type of player you want manning your LT position.

UR ATH | Antonio Kite | 6’1 180 | Anniston, AL - Anniston HS

Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/profile/15303492

Notable Offers: Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Kentucky, South Carolina

Analysis: A major football and basketball star out of Anniston, AL. Kite is getting offers left and right for both sports—and usually for both sports by the same school. As a receiver, Kite is extremely speedy and can turn a DB completely around with his lightening quick cuts. Auburn will most likely want him for their football and basketball team. He’s a guy who plays with ultra confidence and a major competitive edge. He’s currently unrated but that will not last long. One of the better natural athletes in the class.
